Anastacia successfully beat breast cancer in 2003, but she has now been forced to cancel her upcoming European tour after her illness returned.

On Feb. 27 pop star Anastacia made the devastating announcement that her breast cancer had returned, ten years after she successfully beat the disease the first time.

Anastacia had been in remission for nearly ten years when her cancer returned. Anastacia has made a vow to beat the cancer again, and she admits her disappointment at canceling her tour in her statement.

“Anastacia has sadly been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time after having successfully survived her 2003 battle with the disease,” reads the statement, which was posted on the singers Facebook. “Consequently she has been forced to cancel all performances, tours and any travel from now until further notice. Anastacia was excited about her forthcoming European tour which was due to start April 6th in London. ‘I feel so awful to be letting down all my amazing fans who were looking forward to It’s A Man’s World Tour. It just breaks my heart to disappoint them’ she said.”
